Thousands of MIC Members Gather at Batu Caves Temple in Solidarity with Najib Razak

Over 3,500 MIC members, including a strong presence from MIC Youth, gathered at the Vinayagar Temple in Batu Caves around 11.00 a.m. to express their solidarity with former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

MIC Deputy President Datuk Seri M Saravanan stated that the gathering was held to support the pursuit of justice following the emergence of a titah adendum — a royal decree reportedly issued by the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong — regarding Datuk Seri Najib’s imprisonment.

“We hope that justice will be served for Datuk Seri Najib if the titah adendum truly exists. Today, after completing the prayer ceremony, we received a letter from the Pahang Palace confirming the existence of the royal directive,” he said during a press conference at the event.

MIC also extended deep respect and gratitude to His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, for his concern and intervention in the matter.

Although the initial plan anticipated 2,000 attendees, the crowd grew significantly larger as more MIC members and supporters arrived to express their appreciation for Najib’s leadership. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout from MIC Youth members, who stood in unity with senior party leaders in calling for fair and transparent action.

“We trust the courts and the government to proceed appropriately, and the rakyat are watching closely. The truth will eventually speak for itself.

“Datuk Seri Najib ensured that no community was left behind during his time in office, and today’s presence is a reflection of that respect,” said Datuk Seri Saravanan.

He further noted that Datuk Seri Najib has already served more than two years in prison, and it is now time to implement the directive for house arrest as stated in the royal decree.

Earlier, MIC decided not to proceed with a planned assembly at the Palace of Justice after police approval was not granted due to documentation issues. In response, the party organized this Solidarity Gathering at the Batu Caves Temple, where MIC members and Youth representatives reaffirmed their support for Datuk Seri Najib and the pursuit of justice.
