In a landmark moment for MIC Youth, the Chief Vicky Academy, a long-envisioned initiative promised during the MIC Youth leadership campaign, was officially launched with the MIC Youth Secretarial Course. This marks a major stride in the ongoing commitment to nurture competent, well-equipped leaders for the party’s future.
The inaugural course brought together 53 youth secretaries from across all states, focusing on strengthening their understanding of core responsibilities and enhancing their capabilities in administration, documentation, meeting coordination, communication, and strategic planning. These foundational skills are essential for the effective functioning of our movement at every level.
The course was further enriched by the presence of esteemed speakers including YB Senator Dato’ Sivaraj Chandran, Datuk RT Rajasekaran, and Brother Andrew David. Their wealth of experience and insights offered valuable guidance, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the party constitution and understanding the rule of law in their respective roles.
This launch represents only the first phase of Chief Vicky Academy. The next segment will focus on Election Machinery Training, equipping MIC Youth members with the strategic and practical skills needed to take on active roles in upcoming electoral campaigns.
MIC Youth extends heartfelt appreciation to Brother Booven, National MIC Youth Secretary; Brother Arvind Danapalan, National MIC Youth Assistant Secretary; and Brother Sbaash, National MIC Youth Organising Secretary, for spearheading this initiative. Their leadership, along with the support of fellow youth wing comrades who served as course facilitators, has laid a strong foundation for secretarial excellence within the party.
This initiative marks the beginning of a transformative journey. It aims to build the leaders of tomorrow who will uphold and advance the legacy of MIC and the Indian community in Malaysia.
